Product description

This kit is based on a USA American Pale Ale gold winner. Makes 20 litres, based on efficiency of 70%; the actual volume will vary depending on your setup. It contains:
- over 6 Kg grain, 80% Colorado malt
- over 200 grams of Citra and Amarillo hop pellets in 4 separate additions,
- Irish moss,
- 2 dry yeast sachets,
- 4 muslin bags.

Target ABV: 6.4% (OG: 1054, FG: 1009)
Target IBU: 64
Target EBC: 17

Suitable for any all grain setup, including the Bulldog Brewer and Speidel Braumeister all-in-one systems. Crush grains with a Bulldog Malt Mill and mash in 23 litres of water at 64 oC for 60 minutes. Mash out at 76 oC and sparge with 5 litres of hot water at 76 oC. Bring to a rolling boil and add hops at times indicated, using the included muslin bags for each hop addition (topping up if wort volume falls below 16 litres, add the Irish moss 15 minutes before end of boil).
Cool to 22 oC and dilute so that the specific gravity is 1.054; then pitch the 2 yeast sachets. Ferment at 18 to 20 oC for 10 days; its important to keep the temperature as stable as possible. Once hydrometer readings indicate that fermentation is complete add the dry hops. 4 days later remove the dry hops, transfer the beer to a Bottling Bucket, add 120 grams of dextrose OR 130 grams of spraymalt OR 1 litre of wort, gently mix and then bottle.
