These are the ideal corks for better quality homebrew wine kits that will be consumed within a couple of years. They are manufactured by compressing small pieces of natural cork. They are better than the cheaper agglomerated corks because the cork pieces are smaller so that the form a better seal with the neck of the wine bottle.

All Craft Range corks are siliconised, so there is no need to soak. If you really want to sterilize them, simple soak them for a few minutes in a lukewarm solution of equal amounts of sulphite and citric acid, and then dry them with a clean cloth.
