However, negotiating the myriad of government regulations is quite another matter, and can hold you up for a year and take up a huge amount of your precious time and energy. So we've decided to run a one day course that will help you avoid these delays, and simplify the whole process:
 
One day course in Dunmore, North County Galway
  • Presenter 1: Joe Sheridan, who has a micro brewery will introduce you to the Speidel Braumeister 200 litre system and start a brew.
  • Presenter 2: BrewSmarter Limited, Speidel's agents in Ireland will tell you about costings, ingredients, the brewing process, and recipe development
  • Presenter 3: Joe Sheridan, will tell you about his dealings over the past year with all the relevant government agencies (planning, revenue, excise, water, and others)
  • Schedule:
    • 10.00 to 1030 AM: registration and starting a brew
    • 10.30 to 1 PM presentations on step mashing, the brewing process, costings, recipes, ingredients
    • 1 to 2 PM: subsidized lunch and beer sampling
    • 2 PM to 4 PM: presentations on all the relevant government agencies: planning, revenue, excise, water, and others
    • 4 PM to 6 PM: beer sampling and informal discussions
This course is a "must have" for anyone thinking of setting up a small brewery, and will potentially save you hundreds of hours of your time and months of delays. In addition to a full "hands on" brewing demo on a 200 litre Speidel, it will cover the relevant regulations, who to contact, how to stay under the radar and avoid complex regulations that the larger breweries must comply with. It will show you how easy it is to train bar staff to use the system to make consistently great craft been every time. And where to get recipes, and all the relevant ingredients and materials.
