Thomas Coopers Brew A IPA Homebrew Beer
Thomas Cooper’s first brew was recorder as "brew A” in his brewing log on the 13th May 1862. According to the log, it was made up of four bushels of malt and eight pounds of Kent hops in 46 gallons of water, made into a Pale Ale and a slightly heavier Ale.
This American style IPA is made in the tradition of that heavier Ale. It is full bodied with deep amber and reddish hues, and has tropical, citrusy, grapefruit notes along with a toasty amber malt that balances the clean, hop filled, bitter finish. You won’t believe Thomas used to sell it for seven schillings a dozen!

- 1kg Coopers Light Dry Malt, that's 2 of these: Coopers Light Dry Malt (500g)
OR for the normal 23 litres (40 pints)
- 1.5 kg Coopers Light Dry Malt, that's 3 of these: Coopers Light Dry Malt (500g),
